The Best Movies in 2019 So Far: From Animated Fantasy to Superheroes Movie

There are so many movies released in a year that sometimes we don’t have enough time to watch them all. And sometimes we are also overwhelmed that we don't know which movies are worth watching. Luckily, this list can recommend you some of the best movies in 2019 that are worth watching.

Of course, this list is subjective and based on my opinion. This list will be persistently updated as the year goes on. From animated fantasy, horror, survival to the biggest superheroes movie. Here are the best movies in 2019 so far.

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

Hiccup and Toothless are back in The Hidden World, the perfect conclusion of How to Train Your Dragon trilogy. With awesome animation and more mature theme, the movie brings back the question "can really human and dragons peacefully coexist?"

Us

Even though Jordan Peele tweeted that Us is a horror movie, I think this movie is more interesting as a social commentary than a horror movie. Us relatively is not as scary as Get Out, but still, the movie is very well made. Every aspect of this movie from its title, characters, story, to its symbolisms, complement one another to deliver the theme. Us is that kind of movie that will make you search for its explanation on google.

Arctic

Mads Mikkelsen’s two latest movies, Polar and Arctic, are chilly, but the former is one of the worst movies while the latter is one of the best movies in 2019. Directed by Joe Penna, Arctic is very unique because it tells a story of a human who tries to survive in the icy and dangerous North Pole without any explicit explanation about how it's started and ended.

Avengers: Endgame

The next best movie in 2019 comes from the biggest superheroes movie franchise in the past decade, Avengers: Endgame. The movie is an emotional farewell for the original six Avengers and also an epic inauguration for the next generation of earth’s mightiest heroes. As expected, the movie succeeds to be the satisfying culmination of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
