The most anticipated anime in 2019 are not only come from the big names such as ‘Attack on Titan,’ ‘My Hero Academia’ or ‘One Punch Man,’ but also from the long-awaited anime adaptation, like ‘The Promised Neverland’ dan ‘Vinland Saga.’

1. Mob Psycho 100 (Season 2)

The second season of One's Mob Psycho 100 is set to air on January 7th. From the trailer, we already hear a fun opening theme from Mob Choir featuring Sajou no Hana. It seems Mob Psycho 100 will have another awesome opening theme just like its first season.

Synopsis: This anime tells a story about Shigeo Kageyama, an average middle school student who has extraordinary psychic power. He tries his best to be a normal student while keeping his psychic power from exploding. Mob Psycho 100 is an action-packed hilarious comedy anime, but with a more complex story than One Punch Man.

2. Domestic Girlfriend

Domestic Girlfriend or Domestic no Kanojo is an anime adapted from a rather controversial manga written by Kei Sasuga. From the promotional video, it seems that the anime not only has a sexy story but also a nice looking art style. Domestic Kanojo is set to air on January 11th.

Synopsis: This anime will deliver a controversial story about a high schooler named Natsuo who wants to forget his feeling towards his teacher, Hina. In doing so, he met Rui, a mysterious girl, and they end up sleeping with each other. Fate reunites them in a more complex situation. Natsuo’s father is getting married to Rui and Hina’s mother and three of them will live under the same roof.

3. The Promised Neverland

The third most anticipated anime in 2019 is The Promised Neverland or Yakosoku Neverland. Right now, the Kaiu Shirai’s is one of the biggest shounen manga hits. This mystery thriller anime will air on 11th January 2019.

Synopsis: This anime tells a story about orphans who live happily in a foster house called Grace Field House with a wonderful guardian called Mama. The perfect life turns into a nightmare when our protagonist, Emma, finds a secret about their perfect home and their lives will be in danger if they stay any longer.

4. Dororo

The next one is adapted from a classic masterpiece created by Osamu Tezuka called Dororo. It will be the second anime adaptation as the first one was released in black and white 50 years ago. Dororo which will give anime lovers a dark story is set to air in January 2019.

Synopsis: A Daimyo or landlord sacrifice 48 of his infant’s organs to ayakashi to be granted a power to rule in Japan. With the help of a doctor, the poor child lives with a half prosthetic body. He then wanders the land to hunt down the ayakashi and reclaim his organs before facing his damned father. Dororo certainly is one of the most anticipated anime in 2019 you don't want to miss.

5. 'Attack on Titan' (Season 3 part 2)

After a little break, Attack on Titan season 3 is back with its part 2 in the early of 2019. Eren, Mikasa, and Armin will continue to slay titans down to humanity in April 2019.

Synopsis: After being rescued from Rod Reiss kidnap, Eren finally learns about the secret of the wall and the Titans' power. But, it is not over yet because in Attack on Titan season 3 part 2, Eren will face a threat from a formidable foe, a difference from the first part where the story was focused on human inside the wall.

6. Chihayafuru (Season 3)

After stopped five years ago after two seasons, the sports romance anime finally get its third season. Chihayafuru anime will air in April 2019. This anime is adapted from a famous manga written by Yuki Suetsugu and has already adapted to live action movies which are quite successful.

Synopsis: Chihayafuru tells a story about three childhood friends who love playing Karuta, a traditional Japanese card game. Their friendship then ends up being a love triangle and rivalry. It offers a heartwarming story and bittersweet unrequited love story.

No doubt, One Punch Man is one of the most anticipated anime in 2019. The success of its first season transforms the anime into one of the most popular right now. Saitama will return in April 2019.

Synopsis: One Punch Man tells a story about the strongest human named Saitama who bored because he is too strong. then, he decides to apply for a job as a hero for a hobby.

8. Dr. Stone

Synopsis: Kimetsu no Yaiba is centered around Tanjitou, a boy who helps his family selling charcoal. Fate makes him see his family butchered by a demon. The only family he got is his sister who has been turned into a demon. The poor boy declares that he will slay the demon and cure his sister by training to be a demon slayer.
